Why is Bennet supporting unqualified and far-left extremist, Xavier Becerra for HHS Secretary?

Greenwood Village, CO. – This morning, Senator Bennet voted along party lines to move forward the nomination of Xavier Becerra to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). A department that is even more important as the U.S. continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

So who did Biden nominate? A Doctor? A former healthcare professional? Maybe a former HHS staffer?

No, he chose Xavier Becerra, a far-left California career politician who “does not have a direct background in health care.”

But, Becerra is well known in Washington for his extreme views on illegal immigration and abortion.

Becerra has previously supported decriminalizing illegal immigration and giving illegal immigrants government- subsidized healthcare and other benefits.

Becerra’s outlandish views don’t end there. He has sued nuns, refused to call for free elections in Cuba, supports stripping private health insurance away from millions, and has failed to name even a single abortion restriction he’d support.
Statement from Colorado GOP Spokesman Joe Jackson: “The United States is still dealing with the huge impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Senator Bennet shouldn’t be voting to support a nominee who has no medical or healthcare background, and who supports immigration and abortion policies that are far outside the mainstream.

“Instead of bowing to Biden, Schumer, and his far-left benefactors, Bennet should vote NO on confirming this unqualified and far-left nominee to a critical cabinet position.”
